About
Mr. Kakarontzas is a graduate of the Computer Science department of Athens University of Business and Economics and holds an MSc in Object-Oriented Software Technology. Currently he is pursuing his PhD in the Computer Science department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, under the supervision of Dr. Ioannis Stamelos. His PhD is concerned with Component-Based Software Engineering (CBSE). Mr. Kakarontzas is a lecturer at the Computer Science and Telecommunications department of TEI in Larissa, where he teaches Software Technology, Internet Programming and Distributed Systems. He has publications in international conferences, journals and book chapters on component-based software engineering and grid computing. He has co-authored a book in Object-Oriented Software Development with UML (in Greek). He has translated the book “UML Distilled” by Martin Fowler and Kendal Scott for the Greek language. Mr. Kakarontzas has several years of teaching experience on software technology and computer programming.
