About
Takis's original studies were in Architecture and Engineering. He quickly switched interests to Philosophy of Science and Logic. He pursued and completed a double PhD (1994) in the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Philosophy of Indiana University, USA. Since then he has done post-doctoral research in theoretical computer science in the Universities of Leicester, Manchester and the University of Sussex at Brighton. He returned to Greece in 1998 and currently holds a professorship in the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications. His research has covered areas such as Stone Duality, Fairness in Concurrent Computation, Denotational Semantics for Programming Languages, Reasoning (Intelligent) Agents, Smart eLearning Environments. His current interests are in applications of automated reasoning and planning.
